Column Covers and Column Surrounds

Decorative column surrounds and column covers are available at Columns and Carvings, along with our signature quality and service. We supply decorative capitals and bases, as well as cove moulds, cornices, crown moulds, ceiling domes, light troughs and ceiling vaults. Our column covers are perfect for any job, as our capabilities for custom sizing and design are virtually unlimited.

We offer interior column covers and column surrounds made of Glass Reinforced Gypsum (GRG), a high strength composite material that is lightweight and nonflammable. GRG products are designed to install easily using conventional drywall techniques, tools and attaching hardware.

Exterior products available are cast in Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), Glass Fiber Reinforced Cement (GFRC) and pre cast cement. FRP and GFRC are lightweight products with thin shells that can be cast with a paint grade finish or supplied with an integral color or texture. GFRC products weigh about as much per square foot as a typical stucco wall, which allows our cast shapes to be attached to framing systems that are designed to carry the weight of Portland cement plaster.
